Energy Ottawa currently produces 110 million kilowatt-hours of green energy at its two generating stations on the Ottawa River adjacent to Chaudière Falls. We offer this green power directly to commercial and institutional customers. We are also exploring the potential for applying our experience and expertise on the rehabilitation of other small hydro electric generating stations that could increase our contribution to environmentally responsible power generation.

Energy Ottawa has completed construction of the Trail Road landfill gas generation site. Constructed at the City of Ottawa's Trail Road landfill site and operating since January of 2007, the trail road landfill gas generation site produces enough electricity for 5,000 homes and reduces annual greenhouse gas emissions by up to 180,000 tonnes by preventing landfill gas from being released into the atmosphere.
